I’m delighted to announce that my latest manuscript has been accepted for publication in JMIR Formative Research. This marks the third paper in my career, but it holds a special place as my first research project as a principal investigator. Looking back, I recall the moments of uncertainty at every stage of the experiment and the struggle to write each paragraph.

With the support of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital and Khon Kaen University, I had the privilege of participating in the Thailand Health AI Conference and Datathon 2023, held from October 3rd to 6th. My involvement in curating one of the event’s cohorts earned me an invitation to share my experiences and provide guidance as a mentor.

Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital recently hosted the Ramathibodi International Academic Conference (RIAC) 2023, which took place from September 20th to 22nd at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. During this event, CEB-RAMA-MU had the opportunity to highlight our expertise in real-world data research.

Khon Kaen University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital and Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital at Mahidol University, is hosting the first Thailand Health AI Datathon from October 3 to 6, 2023. According to Professor Feng Menglin from the National University of Singapore, this will be the 50th Health AI Datathon in the world.

I have just got my second publication of my research journey and of 2023, titled “External validation and revision of Penn incisional hernia prediction model: A large-scale retrospective cohort of abdominal operations” in Surgeon; Journal of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Ireland.

CEB-RAMA-MU hosted the members of Siriraj Informatics and Data Innovation Center (SiData+) and Chulalongkorn University to discuss on the topic of research using electronic medical records as real world evidence.

CEB-RAMA-MU hosted a visiting scholar and a frequent collaborator of the department, Dr. Gareth J Mckay from Queen’s University Belfast.

I have just got my first publication of my research journey, titled “Evaluation of transitions from early hypertension to hypertensive chronic kidney disease, coronary artery disease, stroke and mortality: A Thai real-world data cohort” in a Q1 journal by Frontiers Media.

CEB-RAMA-MU hosted Hon. Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye and National Health Insurance Authority of Ghana to discuss on the topic of research for Non Communicable Diseases using real world data. We shared our exprience of extracting and curating medical data from Electronic Health Records.

I started donating blood as soon as I came of age. There’s no noble or grandiose goal. It was just that everyone around me also was doing so. My second sister, her first visit on her 18th birthday was the blood bank, so it always has been a given to me that I also would be go so. Spoilers alert: I did not go on my 18th, I took me a few weeks after my actual birthday to actually go.

It has been another interesting week. I finished writing two manuscripts and their revisions, so the waiting period begins. And I was not in the mood to train models for a surgery project so decision to overhaul the webpage was made. I know, the last one served the purpose. It showed a summary of me, my Curriculum vitae (CV) and occasional posts, so what more can I ask? Well, I did have some issues in mind.

CEB-RAMA-MU hosted Graduation Cerlebration for alumni of 2020 and 2021 academic years. Although I chose not to attend the ceremonies hosted by Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital and Mahidol University, I participated on this day as a Master of Science graduate of 2021.

CEB-RAMA-MU hosted Dr. Olivia Wu from Glasgow University and various academics across Thailand to discuss on the topic of research using real world data. I was invited for participation as a speaker under the topic “Real World Data in Ramathibodi Hospital” to share our experience of extracting and curating medical data from Electronic Health Records.

I was sponsored by Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital to attend my poster presentation hosted at Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom.

I was invited as a symposium speaker under the theme “NCDs: Bridging the Gaps” in 23rd National Institutes of Health (Malaysia) Scientific Conference.

After 3 years of joining my masters degree in Data Science, one of my research paper has been cited making me a researcher with h-index of 1.

The domain from namecheap and the site hosted on good old github. It’s powered by Jekyll and I can use Markdown to author my posts. It follows JONATHAN MCGLONE’s guide on how to host using github pages. It actually is a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.

It is a very interesting day. As most days, I was pretending to work when I randomly got an Ad about having your own website to show off the portfolio. I has been a while since I stopped using Facebook or Twitter, and I just lurk in Reddit for most of the times.

I was asked to share my experience of being a data science student in Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, coming from a biomedical background rather than computer science.

Part of the curriculum fulfilment for my Master of Science degree, I presented about the Mixed Effects Machine Learning models in the Journal Club.

My cohort was part of the introduction video for our gradutae course in Mahidol World youtube chennel.

Just what the title says. These are photos from when I was a dentist. I am no longer a general practitioner, and my current field of work is growing further from it. So, they are here just to remind myself that I did do 6 years of Dental School.
